Phil 'The Power' Taylor retains his No.1 slot in the official PDC World Rankings that also secures the 24 automatic qualifying places in this year's Paddy Power World Grand Prix.
Taylor's wins in both the Bobby Bourn Memorial Trophy and the Stan James World Matchplay Darts Championship in Blackpool sees The Power extend his lead at the top of the rankings pile to thirty points ahead of reigning Ladbrokes.com World Champion John Part. Both Taylor and Part are well clear of the rest of the field however, with Desert Classic Champ Peter Manley on 309 points to Taylor and Part's 397 and 367 respectively.                                  more.....

PHIL ‘The Power’ Taylor retained his stranglehold on the Stan James World Matchplay with a hard-fought 18-12 win over battling Wayne Mardle at a packed Winter Gardens on Saturday night. Over two thousand fans watched Taylor pick up his fourth Matchplay in a row and his sixth overall as he showed he does like life by the seaside.             more.....
